Junko Ishikawa, Deputy Director and Momoko Kondo, from the Liaison Office for Child-oriented Policies within the Tokyo Metropolitan Government joined Urban95 Academy programme manager Katie Beck and Marie Kaune at the LSE for a rich and thoughtful exchange of ideas focusing on child and caregiver-centred urban policy.

The conversation touched on the importance of good data as a starting point for policy design, a global comparison of urban factors contributing to decreasing numbers of children in cities, and the value of a behavioural science lens to consider urban design interventions.
